If your a fan of the Viper, you know who Hennessey Performance is, they have available a Jeep wrangler 2012-2013 supercharger kit. From the looks it appears to be similar to the RIPP setup, but Hennessey is claiming 450 HP at 5200 RPM. Anyway here is the link if anyone is interested.

Looks like a RIPP to me.

"450 bhp @ 5,200 rpm"

That works out to about 300 hp at the wheels. Interesting that they choose to advertise bhp instead of whp. I think I'll start using bhp too, so I can tell people that I have a 540 hp Wrangler :)

Confirmed their unit is a RIPP unit.

Im not sure about their BHP, but My WHP has never been 300. Our worst dyno of the unit was 318. And RIPP was pissed when I released it. They expected 330. They made me bring the truck in. Found an air leak, and then put it back on the dyno... Sure enough 328. Standard pulley, not high alt.

Well, RIPP's peak power is right at red line (6500 rpm). Why is Hennessey quoting power at 5200 rpm?

Ross: can you find a dyno chart where you saw 328 hp and see how much power you have at 5200 rpm? It could be around 300 hp.

Either Hennessey modifies the kit in some way to cause less peak power, and a peak at 5200 rpm, or Hennessey is for some reason choosing to advertise power at 5200 rpm, rather than peak power at 6500 rpm. Either way, it's strange.

300 at 5200 is possible. Odd how they pick that spot to talk about.
