My 1998 cherokee threw a 7005 code which has to do somthing with the trans and the nss neutral safty switch...I replaced it and now have reverse lights but clesred the code and it just keeps comming back...anyone know how to solve this problem my inspection was up last month and need this fixed so I can get her back on the road...

If you replaced the neutral safety switch and you're still popping codes after reset, then it wasn't the switch that was the problem.

thank you snarf77....i bin at this for a couple of weeks now ...the truck runs and shifts mint just every time i clear the light it comes back...thanks for the help...back to the drawing board....
Longfellab did you replace the neutral safety switch yourself?
If so I have heard loosening the retaining bolt, and rotating the NSS clockwise a little bit could work

havent won yet haha, just offering up what I have heard
still not fixed...lol....these things are electrical nightmares...dropping off at the mechanic tomarrow..im done.....time to pay...lol
