I have a 2010 JK. Check my signature.
I just spoke to a service adviser at the dealer. He said since the coolant I bought meets MS-9769 spec, I am fine. I didn't buy the generic all makes/models one. Since I just used some to raise the...
Needed to put in coolant. Dealer said make sure it is orange. I went to Advance Auto. They pointed me to this...
My son and I have decided to do our own maintenance work on our respective Jeeps. I have a 2010 JK and he has a 2003 TJ. For our next oil/fluid changes we are switching to synthetic, probably Amsoil....
I also have the headlights. Good stuff!
Happy holidays and a very healthy and happy new year to you and yours!
What do you mean "pedal tune"?
Just spoke to Superchips. They said the instruction booklet is misleading. The 87 Octane does performance too. There is no 87 Performance and 87 Octane. They definitely need to change their booklet...
Is it normal for the rpm's on the tach to be between 1 and 2 at idle? I noticed this after I installed the 87 octane tune.
When I see it and when I drive it. That about covers it!
There was a Mileage option. I just pm'd a guy who I have been communicating with over the last few weeks who has one. He said he was told 87 Performance was for other Jeep models and it was renamed...
I just installed my Superchips Flashpaq after receiving. I also figured I would do the compter update prior which I did last night. I was under the impression I would install the 87 Performance....
Ok. Just updated the Flashpaq online. Thanks pickles. I want to set the tire size when I install. They measure by increments of 1/4 and say to round up. I have 33X12.50 Duratrac's and their...
I just received my Flashpaq for my 2010 JK. I am assuming there is no need to update anything right out of the box since instructions say "The Flashpaq is programmed at our factory with the largest...
Over the summer without my hard top. Also replaced the grill inserts in these pictures with an aftermarket black grill guard similar to gutter guards.142214231424
Got it. Thanks man!
Thanks. So are you saying that resetting the computer has nothing to do with the flashpaq and therefore doesn't negate the original flashpaq install prior to the exhaust install? The flashpaq...
Thanks Pickles (you aren't useless lol). Besides this, would I have to reinstall the flashpaq?
So I have the Flashpaq and the aFe exhaust. Nothing installed yet. It may be a week or two until I install the exhaust. I am wondering how I should proceed from here.
1) Install the Flashpaq now...
Thanks for the welcome. Yeah, there are a few of us 3.8 dinosaurs lol. I totally understand the flashpaq is not a substitute for gearing. I am not meaning for it to be. I also didn't buy the Jeep...
Out of stock on the CAI so I will wait. Just going with the tuner and exhaust for now. Maybe in the spring/summer I will do the CAI.
"what makes you hate the idea of gearing it?"
No hate here. I just don't have the $1500 - $2000 nor do I feel that with my usage of local daily driving , no off roading, minimal highway and...
I would say there is a bit of a lag, if you want to call it sluggish. It is hard to say exactly because I do local daily driving and forgot what it was like when it was stock. Sluggish on lower...
Pickles - does this paragraph also apply to the older 3.8 engine that I have? No Pentastar for me.
