Relocate 100%. Its in an awkward location to begin with and the relocation kits now are pretty much bolt-on and go. That being said..I haven't done mine yet!

I knocked mine off the jeep on a rock and relocated... Ever since I've chased check engine lights coming on because of tiny air leaks. I doubt this would be happening if using all the factory connectors. When I buy another JK I'm going to try a skid instead. Just my own experience.

I was wondering if relocating it would cause any issues due to being in a different location (i.e. Higher up, longer lines, different fittings).

UGH. This is a reason for others to make sure they dont skimp on the connectors. I HATE CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS.

I like the skid idea. I think it is hard to hit in the current location. If you do plan to relocate, you need to come to a final on what suspension you plan to run. Some kits relocate above the rear axle. I think my 3 link arm would hit it in that location, so moving it there is out for me.

I'd armor it in the stock spot, and not screw with the connectors.

I really like the River Raider setup. I have contacted them about some other armor and came across a product that re-positions the evap, makes way for a 2.5g air tank and armors both

That is a really elegant solution. I haven't heard of too many issues with people relocating. I had a conversation on this while wheeling with some buddies. One had relocated with no issues.
