This can be done... It is some serious surgery but you could graft the JK Frame around the Styer-Puch Pinzgauer chassis tube drive train... Now, the one problem is that the engine is designed to be a little offset from the centerline of the vehicle which means to use JK chassis you need an adapter to change that. I would actually turn that into an auxiliary gearbox with 4 speeds-- i.e. .81:1 , 1.00:1 and 1.50:1 and 2.50:1 Swap in a a six speed manual gearbox of your choice and this will give you a 6+4 sort of arrangement then that is driven to the 2spd transfer case giving essentially a 6+4 x 2 setup or 48 forward gears! Think of the crawler potential.

Think of it a bio-diesel Jeep built around the torque tube design of a Pinzgauer? It could be so awesome!

Now, this would get you on the cover of a Magazine.
