I've seen some in the 10" version mounted onto a bracket that is then mounted to the top of the hood hinges. Downside is that they may block your windshield washer nozzle.
So, I won a set of 8" Led Light bars they are spot/flood combo. Trying to figure out where and how to install. I have thought about just bolting them to the front bumper, but not sure if that will work. Also thought about A pillar mounts but think they maybe just to big and would block my vision. What is everyone's thoughts and has anyone installed this size light before?

I have a 12 on the winch. I like that spot. You could mod the mount for an 8 I'm sure
Thanks for the responses guys. I am leaning towards a bumper mount. May have to pickup a couple Wurton 8" cradles and quadratec mounts that mount just behind the grill.

Are these the brackets that come out through the grill? They look cool but I did the mesh mod so those wouldn't quite work for me.
Utilizing that space is a ingenious idea that gives some flexibility in mounting options as opposed to all the standard places that lights can go.
These are the mounts I am talking about. http://www.quadratec.com/products/12110_201.htm The lights wouldn't be behind the grill, but just in front of it.

The mount is temporary as I plan on putting on an aftermarket bumper, but the one I am waiting on was suppose to be out this month, but is not going to be available until next fall. So a winch is in the future but not needed now.

Well, got the lights installed on an Olympic bumper light bar. The lights were a breeze to install, but the light bar mount was less than easy. One the instruction are not well written. They say to remove the bumper and frame cover, both which are not necessary. You only need to remove the lower air dam exposing the lower crash bar. place the brackets in place and install the nut and screws from below. Having the frame cover in place helps hold the mounting bracket in place while you install the product. Doing it this way the bar can be installed in under 20 minutes.

you can see a small white blob in the middle portion of the picture that is a concrete building approximately 600' away, these lights are flood/spot combo. Overall impression I like how everything turned out, I may consider mounting the lights below the Olympic bar to provide some protection and give a lower profile setup.
