Ive been following this for some time.
Jeremy, the brain behind RK's endless suspension options sold his own personal JK last year. It was a 4 door, obviously modded to the gills. But Jeremy is a 2 door guy at heart. So he wanted to start over. His inspiration? The axial wraith. Yep, remote control jeep. This new build started as a base 2 door, and got outfitted at Poison Spyder, and came back to NY state wearing aluminum parts, on its stock wheels.
Now RK has turned their attention to it, and are ripping its guts out to replace everything that touches the axles.
BB has some of the same parts, RK 3 link, so I can tell you that the skeleton that I'm personally familiar with, is already in a class of its own on and off road. Jeremy, however, is going to push this one a bunch of levels up.
Here are some shots as the build progresses.
The won't be able to drive that thing at all on the road with those tires. Will they get to the sand and then install them? or will that thing be all trailer all the time?
Trailer towed to the dunes. Pretty normal. I'm anxious to hear more and see some pictures.
Those tires will look sick on. What brand are they? Or is RK making custom tires now?
Looks like that is going to really stretch that 2 door out.
