    Back To Front Wiring??

    Hey Jeeples!

Im trying to run rear bumper lights to my s-pod. Can I do this with wire from home depot? Or do I need a relay to to make one switch control 2 fog lights?

Who knows how to do this?

You might want to use Automotive type multistrand wiring. I would stay away from single strand wire. However, I don't see why you need a relay to make this light work-- you want a constant operation on the light right? So you flip the switch and the light stays right? So, I would just wire into circuit with the either the rear lights--so when you back up it goes on. if you have spot on your S-Pod just make an independent switch for it with a fuse between Spod and the lights.

I have high powered LED floods in the back bumper. Wiring them was the same as wiring any accessory light up front, with the exception that you have to be really careful how you route the wiring from front to back, ensuring that you don't put it anywhere it will get pinched, or cut, or caught by a stick/brush, rock, etc. I ran mine in black plastic wire loom along the driver side frame rail and body, zip-tying it glue-on clips every 12 inches or so. Definitely use good automotive grade stranded copper wire and solder joints if you can. Crimping and heat-shrink tubing is an acceptable alternative. The diagram above is helpful to an extent, but the SPOD makes it simpler.

    This makes it simple.

This thread inspired me. I called snarf and did it tonight. Super easy, ran the wire up the frame rail zip tie-ing with factory frame holes.

Ran it to the S-pod and was done in an hour. Should have done it earlier.
